Implementation form and Determination of IP Ratings of Electrical Equipment:Taking Outdoor Luminaires as an Example

Abstract：IP ratings is an important index to measure the performance of electrical equipment.Due to the different places(environment)and structural types of electrical equipment,a variety of IP ratings forms are derived.Taking outdoor luminaires as an example,this paper introduces the IP ratings of the main components of outdoor luminaires,analyzes the implementation form of IP ratings and the judgment of IP ratings,and discusses whether outdoor luminaires can be marked with higher IP ratings,in order to provide reference for the shell protection structure design and IP ratings detection of electrical equipment.
