Abstract：In this paper,a micro lens optical system for LED automotive headlamps is designed.By establishing the corresponding relationship between the light emitting surface of the light source,the free-form surface of the micro lens,and the exploration surface,the distribution of each discrete point on the free-form surface of the micro lens is obtained,so as to obtain free-form micro lenses that meet the lighting requirements and have clear light and dark cut-offs.Compared with the way of cutting off the cut-off line,this micro lens optical system greatly improves the energy utilization rate and achieves the purpose of energy saving and cost reduction.
