Improvement and Implementation of the Key Technologies of HPS Electronic Ballast
Abstract：According to the characteristics of high pressure sodium lamp, the key technologies of the electronic ballast are researched and improved .The HPS electronic ballast consists of an active power factor correction circuit, a half bridge inverter, a loop control circuit and so on. In the design, each functional module and system parameters are optimized. The start circuit uses the pulse transformer start technology, and the acoustic resonance suppression tech- nology uses the combination of frequency modulation and phase modulation technology. Verified by experiments, the electronic ballast has the characteristics of high power factor, high efficiency, acoustic resonance phenomenon free, dimmable, stable and reliable, meets the expected goals.
