Fabrication of Translucent Alumina Arc Tubes for Ceramic Metal Halide Lamps by Powder Injection Molding
Abstract：The Powder Injection Molding（PIM） technique has been employed to fabricate translucent alumina arc tubes of ceramic metal halide lamps（CMH）.The proper geometry design of the arc tubes is introduced and the related PIM processes are investigated.The microstructures and the optical properties of the sintered alumina are analyzed.Finally the fabricated arc tubes are assembled for CMH to test and evaluate the performance.
