Development of the Long Life 2000W Pulse Start Metal Halide Lamp
Abstract：In order to satisfy the needs of large stadiums and gymnasiums,we designed and produced a kind of 2,000W pulse start metal halide lamp.The key points of the design include： increasing tube diameter,making the power load of lamp drop to 17.29W/cm2 to prolong the lifetime,decreasing the length of arc tube to make the operation of arc more stable,narrowing the size of sealing position in the arc tube to improve the start property and enhance the lumens per watt,and selecting the materials and structures resisting high temperature.The lamp has more than 3,000h lifetime,with the performance equivalent to overseas similar products.
