The Function of Low Mercury Technology for Preventing CFL＇s Mercury Pollution
Abstract：The operation of compact fluorescent lamps（CFLs） relies on mercury atoms to radiate 253.7nm ultraviolet rays to excite phosphor to emit visible light.During their use,CFLs are safe and harmless.Mercury pollution resulting from CFLs may arise at the 3 links： solid mercury producing,lamp making,and lamp discarding.This article discusses the role of low mercury technology in preventing the mercury pollution of CFLs.
