Ecodesign Requirements of European Union for Fluorescent Lamps and Their Technical Answers
Abstract：The ecodesign requirements of European Union for fluorescent lamps feature high luminous efficacy,high lumen maintenance,and high survival factor,which is a big challenge to the fluorescent lamp industry of China.In this paper,some technical answers are introduced.The luminous efficacy can be increased by increasing the efficiency of discharge and phosphor converting.The lumen maintenance can be enhanced by improving the quality of translucent alumina coating,or by coating transparent alumina.The lamp survival factor can be boosted with appropriate filaments preheating strategy,which will prolong the lamp lifetime.
