Discussion on the Development of DC Metal Halide Lamp
Abstract：Metal halide lamps are generally operated by AC power supply （50Hz/60Hz）. When the lamp restarting after zero -crossing, the lamp is apt to extinguish, has operational or color instability. To operate metal halide lamp by direct current can avoid the problems above. By researching into the design, operating characteristics of DC metal halide lamp, we successfully developed a low power DC metal halide lamp and the matching ballast.
