A case of HIV-positive Talaromycosis marneffei infection with hemophagocytic syndrome

Abstract：A case of HIV-positive Talaromycosis marneffei infection with hemophagocytic syndrome is reported.The patient was a 41-year-old female who was admitted to the hospital due to recurrent fever lasting for 10 days.Through comprehensive macro-genetic testing,bone marrow cytology,and biopsy,she was diagnosed with AIDS,Talaromyces marneffei infection,and secondary hemophagocytic syndrome.Following treatment with amphotericin B combined with itraconazole and dexamethasone,the patient's fever was significantly subsided.At the half-year follow-up,her CD4+T-cell count was 131 cells/μL and bone marrow cytology findings were normal.
