Abstract:A 40-year-old female patient presented with red spots, papules, and itching on her right forearm 5 days ago.Dermatological examination showed dark red macules and papules on the back of the right hand, with crusting.Localized dotted and linear vascular shadows were observed under the skin microscope, accompanied by circumferential desquamation at the edges of the skin lesions.Reflective confocal microscope showed focal keratosis, numerous hyphal like structures in the stratum corneum, dilation of dermal papillae and superficial blood vessels, and normal basal cell cytochrome.Based on fungal microscopy and culture results,it was diagnosed as cutaneous candidiasis and treated with external application of benz-imidazole cream for 2 weeks before recovery.
