Research Progress on the Pathogenesis of Malassezia Folliculitis
Abstract:The skin microbiome plays a key role in the development of common acne. Studies have shown that Malassezia can promote the development of Malassezia folliculitis by its biofilm properties, stimulating keratinocytes and dendritic cells to release pro-inflammatory factors, virulence factors, and inducing abnormal follicular keratinization. This article discusses the related mechanisms involved in the development of Malassezia folliculitis, providing direction and ideas for clinical diagnosis and treatment.
