Clinical application of modified contact ion combined with drug encapsulation for onychomycosis

Abstract：Objective To explore the clinical application of improved contact ion combined with drug encapsulation in the treatment of onychomycosis.Methods This study included 94 cases of onychomycosis patients admitted to dermatology and venereology Department of Lecong Hospital,Shunde District from November 2021 to November 2023.They were divided into two groups by random number table method.Control group was treated withoralitraconazole (n=47).On the basis of oral itraconazole,the study group added local modified contact ion combined with terbinafine encapsulation therapy (n=47).Clinical efficacy,scoring clinical index of onychomycosis (SCIO score) and onychomycosis severity index (OSI score),fun-gal clearance,adverse reactionsof the two groups were analyzed.Results (1) The therapeutic effective rate of the study group(97.87％)was higher than that of the control group (82.98％)(P<0.05).(2) The fungal clearance rate of the study group was 95.74％,which was higher than that of the control group (80.85％) (P<0.05).(3) After 6 months of treat-ment,SCIO and OSI scores of the study group were lower than those of the control group (P<0.05).(4) The adverse re-actions in the study group were lower than those in the control group (P>0.05).Conclusion Improved contact ion com-bined with drug encapsulation can improve the clinical therapeutic effect and fungal clearance in onychomycosis.
