A case of pulmonary Rhizopus microporus infection after kidney transplantation

Abstract:Report on a case of pulmonary infection caused by Rhizopus microporus after kidney transplantation.The pa-tient,male,45 years old,was admitted on September 20,2021 due to the chief complaint of fever for more than 5 months after kidney transplantation.Through second-generation gene sequencing of microorganisms(bronchoalveolar lavage fluid),he was found that Rhizopus microporus was infected with diagnosed with pneumonia caused by Rhizopus microporus.Clini-cal diagnosis was made,and treatment with amphotericin B liposomes and posaconazole gradually improved the symptoms of pulmonary infection.After 8 weeks of stable condition,the patient was discharged from the hospital,and the transplanted kidney function significantly decreased compared to before.As of the follow-up endpoint,the transplanted kidney function has not yet recovered.
