Abstract:Objective To analyze the clinical distribution characteristics and drug resistance of Candida albicans in Yan'an area,to provide basis for clinical diagnosis and treatment and the monitoring of hospital infection. Methods The clinical data of Candida albicans isolates from January 2012 to December 2021 were retrospectively analyzed, including gender, age, specimen type, department distribution, risk factors for infection, and antifungal drug sensitivity. Results A total of 1042 strains of Candida albicans were isolated, accounting for 73.48% of Candida.Patients over 60 years old accounted for 62.38% ;The main type of specimens was sputum(608 cases,58.34% ),followed by urine specimens(106 cases,10.17% );The patients were mainly from the respiratory department(370 cases,35.51% ),followed by the ICU ward(200 cases,19.19% )and the pediatric department(132 cases,12.67% );The main risk factors of Candida albicans infction were patient age 60 years old,broad-spectrum antibiotic use, invasive procedures, etc; The highest resistance rate of clin-ical Candida albicans to fluconazole was 11.71% .Conclusion Candida albicans is the main strain isolated in this region, mainly in respiratory medicine and elderly patients. In addition, the empirical use of the conventional antifungal drug flucon-azole in clinical practice has led to more severe resistance to fluconazole.Clinical distribution and drug resistance analysis of Candida albicans might be useful for clinical medication strategy.
