A case of infantile kerion

Abstract：A 3-year-old child was misdiagnosed as"atopic dermatitis"because of"erythema and papules on the head,right temporal area and behind the right ear".After topical application of mometasone furoate cream,the rash worsened and fever appeared.Through microscopic examination,culture identification and dermoscopy,it was finally diagnosed as"kerion".Unfortunately,when the child came to our department for check,she left cicatricial alopecia.
