Abstract:Objective Focusing on optimizing surgical performance grading evaluation methods, this approach aims to provide a core quantitative tool for refining surgical grading and performance assessment through cross-catalog matching of procedures and the development of a scientifically sound, quantifiable Surgical Difficulty Index(SDI).Method The"two-step matching method"is employed to correlate the in-hospital surgical catalog with the national surgical catalog and CCHI,thereby obtaining comprehensive data for surgical evaluation.Additionally, based on the Balanced Scorecard approach, dimensions for calculating the Surgical Difficulty Index(SDI)are established. The Delphi method is utilized to determine the weights of each dimension, leading to the formulation of an SDI calculation model. This model enables the integration and quantification of cross-directory and cross-standard data.Result Through matching, the in-hospital surgical catalog is aligned with CCHI in various forms.Raw data is collected from five dimensions:manpower consumption, time consumption, technical difficulty, risk level, and cost consumption. These data undergo standardization processing.By combining the weights of each dimension,SDI values for surgeries are obtained, achieving a preliminary comprehensive and scientific evaluation among different surgeries. Conclusion Traditional surgical grading methods are no longer adequate for current performance management needs. It is imperative to refine surgical grading based on matching results and SDI values. This approach will facilitate a comprehensive evaluation of surgical resource consumption, the formulation of performance plans and management measures, guiding departments to enhance technology, optimize resource allocation, and ultimately achieve high-quality sustainable development.
