Cost Comparison Study Between Hemodialysis and Peritoneal Dialysis on the Basis of Data Collected from 7 Hospitals
Abstract：Objective To propose the suggestions to reduce the dialysis cost through the cost comparison study between hemodialysis (HD) and peritoneal dialysis (PD) from 7 tertiary general hospitals.Methods Doing retrospective study in general.On the one hand,detecting the direct cost and indirect cost of HD using traditional costing approach and Activity-based costing (ABC) costing approach respectively;On the other hand,detecting the direct and indirect cost of PD through using traditional costing approach.Resets For PD,the dialysate and disposable health materials account for 93.7％.PD has advantage on the cost than HD,accounting for 82.03％ of total cost of HD on average.Conclusion Increasing the admission rate of PD can reduce the cost of dialysis and financial burden of patients.
