Practice of the Construction of Prevention and Treatment System of Venous Thromboembolism in the Hospital
Abstract：Objective To explore the influence of prevention and treatment system of Venous Thromboembolism (VTE) construction on improving medical quality and assuring medical security.Methods The application effects of management tools to manage prevention and treatment of Venous Thromboembolism in the hospital were evaluated after the implementation.Results After the management,the concept of VTE prevention and treatment is improved among clinical professionals.The detection rate of VTE cases of inpatients increases,the number of DVT cases in the lower extremities has increased significantly since 2014,and is on the rise,while the number of PTE detected cases dose not change significantly.The average hospitalization days and costs have no significant change,and the patient safety events with VTE decreases.Conclusion Through the establishment of hospital VTE prevention and treatment system,the patient safety events with VTE can be reduced effectively,and the medical quality can be improved.
