Medical Sharps Injuries Underreporting and its Influencing Factors
Abstract：Objective To analyze underreporting sharp injuries and its influencing factors,and guide the management of sharp injuries.Methods The questionnaire survey of some medical institutions in Hubei Province was carried out by logistic regression analysis.Results The omission rate of venous needle,needle and ampoule was 32.7％,35.0％ and 44.8％.The type of organization,the configuration of the sharp box,the training rate and the outpatient volume were statistically significant(P＜0.05).Conclusion In order to reduce the occurrence of underreporting,the sharp box configuration,nurses training and other aspects management should be strengthened,in addition,the type of institutions and outpatient and other aspects should be taken into account.
