Impact of Workplace Mindfulness on Organizational Identity and Career Calling of Nursing Staffs
Abstract:Objective To explore the impact of workplace mindfulness on career calling of nursing staffs and test the mediation role of organizational identity.Methods A cross-section online survey method was conducted to collect data through using the multiple line hierarchical regression analysis method to test the relations between variables.Results Workplace mindfulness had a significantly positive prediction on organizational identity (β=0.348,P<0.01) and career calling (β=0.281,P<0.01) of nursing staffs.Organizational identity was positively related to career calling (β=0.534,P<0.01) and played a mediation role in their relationship.Conclusion Workplace mindfulness could improve nurses' organizational identity and attachment,which in turn indirectly enhance career calling.Meanwhile,workplace mindfulness also directly promote career calling through improving core self-evaluation,career resilience and career adaptation.
