Factors Associated with the Implementation of Clinical Pathways and the Evaluation of its Effects Among Physicians
Abstract：Objective To explore the factors associated with the implementation of Clinical Pathways(CPs) and the evaluation of its effects among physicians.Methods Questionnaire surveys of 1 638 physicians and 54 hospitals in 3 provinces (or municipality) located in eastern,central,western areas in China were conducted.Results The implementation rates of physicians worked in Gansu and secondary hospitals were higher,but it was lower among those worked in hospitals with less implementation of CPs.CPs' training could increase the implementation of CPs and positive evaluation on the effects of CPs.Conclusion The implementation of CPs among physicians is highly influenced by their hospital locations and levels.CPs extension and training in the hospitals facilitate their physicians to implement CPs and increase the positive evaluation on CPs' effects.
