Present Analysis of Healthcare Facilities at Level 2 and Above to Carry Out Public Health Activities in China

Abstract：Objective To evaluate the present situation of healthcare facilities at level 2 and above to carry out public health activities such as disease control.Method Survey was conducted among 163 hospitals in 10 provinces,using survey of basic status of public health activities of healthcare facilities at level 2 and above and survey of basic status of personnel questionnaires.Field study was carried out among Zhejiang,Henan.Liaoning and Gansu,and mail-survey was carried out in 34 provinces,direct-controlled municipalities and Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps of China.Result (1) There is a large discrepancy between public health responsibilities that health care facilities should take and have taken.(2) There is a lack of motivation for healthcare facilities to carry out public health activities.(3) Healthcare facilities are under multifarious separate management in carrying out public health activities.Conclusion (1) The gap between clinical health and public health system should be bridged.(2) The motivation of healthcare facilities to carry out public health activities should be promoted.(3) The evaluation of public health work should be strengthened to improve the implementation of public health policies.
