Abstract:Surgical resection remains the cornerstone of curative treatment for esophageal carcinoma.Although the widespread adoption of minimally invasive techniques has improved patients' prognosis, postoperative complications, particularly pulmonary infections, continue to be a critical factor contributing to elevated mortality rates. This review systematically synthesizes recent domestic and international research, focusing on three key areas:the optimization of diagnostic criteria for postoperative pulmonary infections, multidimensional analysis of risk factors, and the exploration of novel predictive indicators.Furthermore,it evaluates the clinical efficacy of existing prevention and management strategies. The aim of this review is to provide a theoretical foundation for precision clinical interventions and to provide reference for the design of future multicenter clinical trials.
