The application of DBT combined with DCE-MRI in differential diagnosis of benign and malignant breast lesions

Abstract：Objective To explore the application value of digital breast tomosynthesis(DBT)combined with dynamic contrast enhanced magnetic resonance imaging(DCE-MRI)in the differential diagnosis of benign and malignant breast lesions.Methods One hundred and thirty patients with suspected breast malignant tumor admitted to Handan Central Hospital from January 2022 to January 2024 were studied and given DBT and DCE-MRI examination.The diagnostic efficacy of DBT combined with DCE-MRI was evaluated by using pathological results as the gold standard.The imaging findings(structural distortion,mass,calcification,mixed type)and the measurement results of breast cancer were compared under different examination methods.Results Of the 130 patients,95 were malignant lesions and 35 were benign lesions.DBT,DCE-MRI,DBT+DCE-MRI have a good consistency rate in differentiating benign and malignant from pathological examination;the area under the curve(AUC)of DBT,DCE-MRI and DBT+DCE-MRI were 0.626,0.689 and 0.917(P<0.05),respectively;the detection rate of DBT combined with DCE-MRI in the diagnosis of non-calcified lesions and calcified lesions was higher than that of DBT alone(P<0.05);DBT,DCE-MRI,DBT+DCE-MRI showed significant positive correlation with the mean maximum diameter of lesions measured by pathology(r=0.219,0.392,0.498,P<0.05).Conclusions DBT combined with DCE-MRI can effectively differentiate between benign and malignant breast lesions,improve the accuracy of clinical diagnosis,and improve the diagnosis rate of breast cancer imaging features.
