Abstract:Head and neck tumors,as one of the common malignant tumors worldwide, pose significant challenges to clinical diagnosis and treatment due to their complex anatomical locations and high heterogeneity. In recent years, artificial intelligence(AI)technology has shown great potential in the medical field, especially in early diagnosis, image analysis, treatment planning, and prognosis evaluation of tumors. This review systematically summarizes the latest application progress of AI in the entire process of head and neck tumor management, including early screening, imaging diagnosis, pathological analysis, treatment decision-making,and prognosis prediction.Based on the current status of domestic clinical practice, this report further explores the key challenges in the in-depth integration of AI technology with the diagnosis and treatment of head and neck tumors, and proposes practical implementation paths and future development directions.Looking ahead,AI is expected to transform the traditional diagnosis and treatment model of head and neck tumors by integrating multi-modal data, establishing a standardized laboratory verification system, and improving ethical frameworks, thereby achieving a paradigm shift from empirical medicine to data-driven medicine and ultimately benefiting a large number of patients.
