Abstract:Renal cell carcinoma(RCC),one of the most prevalent urological malignancies worldwide, continues to impose a growing disease burden.According to the latest epidemiological data,RCC ranks as the 14th most common cancer globally, accounting for approximately 2%of all new cancer cases. In 2022,there were an estimated 434 800 new RCC diagnoses and 156 000 deaths, with significant geographical disparities in disease burden and notable differences in clinical management between Eastern and Western populations. To address these variations and standardize evidence-based practices, the European Association of Urology(EAU)has updated its guidelines, emphasizing multidisciplinary collaboration and outlining current research priorities. The EAU RCC Guideline Panel conducted a structured evaluation of the latest advancements, integrating new evidence to refine evidence-based recommendations for RCC management. These updates aim to provide clinicians with clearer therapeutic strategies and decision-making pathways, ultimately improving patient outcomes.
