Abstract:Granulomatous lobular mastitis(GLM)is a rare benign inflammatory disease of the breast, which is difficult to be distinguished from breast cancer by clinical and imaging manifestations, and is generally diagnosed by histopathological examination. It is rare for breast cancer and GLM to occur simultaneously in clinical practice, which increases the difficulty of early diagnosis.Since the development of breast cancer may be closely related to infection and inflammatory response, clinical attention should be paid to early comprehensive assessment and screening of GLM patients for early diagnosis and treatment to avoid delay.By reviewing the diagnostic and therapeutic history of the case and analysing the diagnosis and treatment options for patients with breast cancer complicated by GLM in conjunction with the literature, this article explores the possible correlation between GLM and the development of breast cancer.
