Abstract:Lung cancer is the leading cancer in mortality in the world, and its diagnosis and treatment progress have been concerned. In the early and middle stages, operable non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC)has traditionally been treated with a combination of operations. With the advent of immune checkpoint inhibitors(ICIs),perioperative treatment of NSCLC has also changed.More and more studies have shown that"whole-course immunotherapy"may produce greater benefits, that is,"neoadjuvant chemotherapy combined with immunotherapy+surgery+immunoadjuvant therapy",commonly known as"sandwich cake"and"sandwich"treatment mode. This article reviews the origin and progress of perioperative whole-course immunotherapy for NSCLC,in order to provide a basis for the formulation of perioperative comprehensive treatment for lung cancer.
