Abstract：Objective To investigate the expression of Gankyrin proteins in laryngeal carcinoma tissues and cell lines Hep-2. Methods The expression of Gankyrin proteins in laryngeal carcinoma tissues ,para-car-cinoma tissues(n=24)and normal tissues(n=10)were assessed by immunohistochemical technique,and in cell lines Hep-2 by immunocytochemistry technique. The positive cells were counted and located under the micro-scope. Results The Gankyrin proteins expressed mainly in the cell nucleus. The expression of Gankyrin pro-tein in laryngeal carcinoma(58. 5%) is significantly higher than in para-cacinoma tissues(11. 4%) and normal tissues(18. 1%),and the difference was statistically significant(P<0. 01). Conclusions Gankyrin proteins expressed both in laryngeal carcinoma tissues and Hep-2 cell lines, which give the basic function for the study of Gankyrin in laryngeal carcinoma.
