Evaluation of metastatic nasopharyngeal carcinoma under the treatment of second-line chemotherapy of vinorelbine plus nedaplatin

Abstract:Objective To observe the curative effect and adverse reaction of vinorelbine plus nedaplatin regimen for metastatic nasopharyngeal carcinoma. Methods 92 patients with metastatic nasopharyngeal carci-noma were chosen to accept second-line chemotherapy;they were given vinorelbine 25-30 mg/ m2 on day 1 and day 8 and nedaplatin 100 mg/ m2 on day 1 and day 8. Results The response rate was 54. 3% . The 1-year sur-vival rate reached 52. 2% ,and 2-year survival rate reached 12. 2% . The major toxic effects included marrow suppression,nausea and vomiting. Conclusions A reasonable efficacy and long survival time are shown in the second-line chemotherapy of vinorelbine plus nedaplatin for patients with metastatic nasopharyngeal carcinoma.
