Application of single-layer anastomosis method in the operation of esophagus cancer and cardiac cancer

Abstract：Objective To evaluate the application values of single-layer anastomosis method in the opera-tion of esophagus cancer and cardiac cancer. Methods Single-layer anastomosis method was used in esopha-gus-stomach rebuilding of 157 cases of radical operations of esophagus cancer and cardiac cancer(single-layer group);while in another group(traditional group),traditional esophagus-stomach double-layer embedding anas-tomosis method was used for 155 cases. The clinical data of these 2 groups were compared to observe the occur-rence of postoperative anastomotic leakage and anastomotic stenosis of both groups. Results In the single-layer group,no anastomotic leakage had been found,and only 2 cases has mild anastomotic stenosis(1. 27% );in the traditional group,there were 5 cases of anastomotic leakage(3. 23% )and 8 cases of anastomotic stenosis (5. 16% ),in which 5 cases had medium or severe stenosis. The comparative differences of two groups had sta-tistically significances(P ﹤ 0. 05). Conclusions Single-layer anastomosis method is time-saving,easy to oper-ate and quick to learn;it can effectively prevent postoperative anastomotic leakage and anastomotic stenosis in e-sophagus-stomach anastomosis of radical operation of esophagus cancer and cardiac cancer.
