Abstract:Lung cancer is one of the leading causes of cancer deaths worldwide.Visceral pleural invasion(VPI)refers to the infiltration of tumor cells beyond the elastic fibrous layer of the pleura.VPI has significant effects on the clinical staging and survival prognosis of patients with early-stage lung cancer.Imaging examinations have the advantages of comprehensiveness,non-invasiveness and good repeatability, and have played an important role in the preoperative assessment of the VPI status of lung cancer. In this paper, the progress in imaging studies on VPI in lung cancer is reviewed.
