Abstract:Minimal change disease(MCD)is a glomerular disease characterized by mild glomerular lesions under light microscopy, often lacking immune complex deposition, but characterized by diffuse foot process fusion under electron microscopy.Previous studies have generally believed that this disease is closely related to T lymphocyte dysfunction. However, recent studies have found that the depletion agent of B lymphocytes, rituximab(RTX),can induce remission of MCD,suggesting that B lymphocytes may play an important role in the occurrence and development of MCD.In this paper, the research progress in involvement of B lymphocytes in pathogenesis of MCD is reviewed.
