Abstract:Severe Mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia(SMPP)is a common community-acquired pneumonia in children. The early detection of SMPP,as well as the monitoring of highly macrolide-resistant Mycoplasma pneumoniae(MRMP)infection and complications deserve attention. The early detection of risk factors for SMPP requires a combination of clinical features, inflammatory biological markers and imaging features. In the regions where MRMP infection is highly prevalent, new tetracyclines(doxycycline/minocycline)or quinolones should be promptly selected for early treatment. In the future, efforts should be made to strengthen the monitoring of MRMP,optimize its early warning model, and explore the management strategies involving multidisciplinary collaboration.
