Abstract:Objective To explore the effects of proactive multifaceted thermal insulation measures on mothers and their babies in late-preterm caesarean section. Methods Two hundred postpartum women who underwent caesarean section in the People's Hospital of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region from January 2022 to May 2024 were recruited, with gestational age of 34+2~36+6(35.42±1.21)weeks.The postpartum women were divided into observation group and control group by random number table method, with 100 patients in each group. The control group adopted conventional thermal insulation measures, while the observation group adopted proactive multifaceted thermal insulation measures. The perioperative body temperature, duration of the operation, intraoperative blood loss, postoperative related indicators and the occurrence of complications of the postpartum women, and the indicators of their newborns' condition were compared between the two groups. Results At the beginning of anesthesia,30 minutes after the operation,at the time of delivery and 30 minutes after returning to the ward, the body temperature of the postpartum women in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).The intraoperative blood loss and the blood loss of the postpartum women 2 hours after delivery in the observation group were less than those in the control group. The blood oxygen saturation of the postpartum women in the observation group was higher than that in the control group 30 minutes after returning to the ward. The duration of the operation and the hospital stay of the postpartum women in the observation group were shorter than those in the control group. The ambulant time after operation and the postoperative exhaust time in the observation group was earlier than that in the control group. The differences in the above indicators were significant between the two groups(P<0.05).The rectal temperature,pH of umbilical artery blood and trace blood glucose levels of the newborns in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, with statistically significant differences between the two groups(P<0.05).The incidence rates of shivering, postpartum hemorrhage and intraoperative hypothermia in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Proactive multifaceted thermal insulation measures can reduce the incidence of hypothermia in the postpartum women undergoing caesarean section, reduce their blood loss, shorten the duration of the operation, promote rapid recovery of the postpartum women after the operation, and improve the physiological indicators of their newborns.Proactive multifaceted thermal insulation measures have clinical application value.
