Progress in the application of autologous platelet-rich plasma in respiratory diseases

Abstract：Platelet-rich plasma(PRP)is rich in high concentrations of platelets and a variety of cytokines,and has the properties of anti-inflammatory,promoting cell proliferation and tissue repair.At present,PRP has been widely used in stomatology,orthopedics,plastic surgery,otolaryngology and other fields,with remarkable efficacy and high safety.Autologous PRP is derived from the patient's own plasma without the risk of immune rejection and disease transmission.In recent years,autologous PRP has been gradually applied to the treatments of respiratory diseases such as bronchial fistula,bronchial hemorrhage,chronic obstructive pulmonary disease,inhalation lung injury and spontaneous pneumothorax.In this paper,the progress in the application of autologous PRP in respiratory diseases is reviewed.
