Abstract:Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD)is a common chronic respiratory disease, which seriously affects the patients'quality of life. This paper explores early intervention strategies for COPD,including questionnaire screening and use of pulmonary function test as screening tools for high-risk populations. In this paper, the diagnostic criteria for COPD and the latest progress in their evaluation are presented, and the importance of moving the treatment forward is emphasized, especially for accurate identification and early treatment of the populations with treatable traits.Furthermore, this paper proposes to raise public awareness of COPD and promote early screening through grassroots education and the effort of primary healthcare institutions. These measures are helpful for achieving early detection, diagnosis and treatment of COPD,and are of great significance for improving the comprehensive prevention and treatment of COPD,reducing the patients'disease burden and improving their poor prognosis.
