Research progress of systemic immune-inflammatory index and diabetic complications

Abstract：Diabetic complications include diabetic kidney disease,diabetic retinopathy,diabetic cardio-cerebrovascular disease,diabetic peripheral neuropathy and diabetic foot.The prognosis and outcomes of patients with diabetic complications are generally poor,and diabetic complications pose a serious threat to human health.Inflammation is a potential pathogenesis of diabetic complications.There are more and more studies on the related blood inflammatory markers and diabetic complications.Systemic immune-inflammatory index (SII) is a novel inflammatory marker,which integrates neutrophils,lymphocytes and platelets to more accurately evaluate the inflammatory state of the body.In this paper,the research progress of SII and diabetic complications is reviewed.
