Research progress in the prevention and treatment of comorbidity of type 2 diabetes mellitus and heart failure

Abstract：The incidence rates of type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM)and heart failure(HF)show escalating trend.The two diseases often coexist,and compared to the patients with a single chronic disease of the two diseases,the patients with comorbidity of the two diseases have poor quality of life and poor prognosis problems.Therefore,early identification and prevention of the patients with a single disease of two diseases are particularly crucial.This paper reviews the research progress in the prevention and treatment of comorbidity of T2DM and HF,in order to help clinicians early identify single disease with high risk of comorbidity and implement effective drug intervention to improve the prognosis of the patients.
