Research progress in the biomechanical treatment of positional plagiocephaly

Abstract：Positional plagiocephaly(PP)is a disease of abnormal cranial morphology in infants and young children,which can lead to abnormal biological force lines in the pediatric patients.Based on the stress mechanism and long-term hazards of PP in infants and young children,this paper reviews the finite element analysis of cranial mechanics in infants and young children and various mechanical treatment methods,seeking the basis for precise head orthopedics,and broadening the idea of expanding the treatment techniques of head orthopedics in the future.
