Abstract:Objective To analyze the clinicopathological features of 9 cases of lung adenocarcinoma with signet-ring cell-like morphology. Methods The clinical data of 9 cases of lung adenocarcinoma with signet-ring cell-like mor-phology who were admitted to Affiliated Hospital of North Sichuan Medical College and Nanchong Central Hospital from January 2013 to December 2019 were retrospectively analyzed, and their pathology, imageology and clinical features, treatment regimens and survival prognosis were analyzed. Results Among the 9 patients, there were 3 males and 6 females, aged 34-74 years, with a median age of 53 years. The patients'TNM stages included stage Ⅰ in 1 case, stage Ⅱ in 1 case, stage Ⅲ in 5 cases and stage Ⅳ in 2 cases. The proportion of signet-ring cell components ranged from 10%to 100%,and 4 cases suffered from lung adenocarcinoma with simple signet-ring cell components. All the 9 cases showed the immunophenotypes of transcription termination factor-1(TTF-1)(+)and cytokeratin 7(CK7)(+)/cytokeratin 20(CK20)(-).Five patients underwent surgical resection, and 3 patients received non-surgical treatment, and 1 patient lost the oppor-tunity for surgery due to the tumor invasion into the main bronchus, pulmonary artery, superior vena cava and pericar-dium.The overall survival time was 6-61 months. Conclusion Lung adenocarcinoma with signet-ring cell-like morphology is a rare type of adenocarcinoma that can exhibit the immunophenotypes of TTF-1(+)and CK7(+)/CK20(-)and the diagnosis of this disease mainly relies on pathological examination. At present, there is not a standard treatment regimen for this disease, and the survival prognosis of the patients is poor, and targeted therapy may have the opportunity to improve the patients'prognosis.
