Effects of irbesartan, hydrochlorothiazide and amlodipine combined with metoprolol in the treatment of re-fractory hypertension
Abstract:Objective To study the effects of irbesartan, hydrochlorothiazide and amlodipine combined with metoprolol in the treatment of refractory hypertension. Methods Eighty patients with refractory hypertension were di-vided into the observation group(n=40) and the control group(n=40) according to the principle of voluntary. The control group received the treatment of irbesartan, hydrochlorothiazide and amlodipine. The treatment in the observa-tion group was the same as that in the control group except that metoprolol was added. Results In the observation group, 35 cases were markedly effective;5 cases effective; No cases ineffective. In the control group, 27 cases were effective;9 cases effective;4 cases ineffective. The clinical effect of the observation group was better than that of the control group(P<0.05).The incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group(0.00%) was significantly low-er than that in the control group(30.00%)(P<0.01).Conclusion Irbesartan in conjunction with hydrogen chlo-rine thiophene hydrochlorothiazide and amlodipine combined with metoprolol is safe and effective in the treatment of refractory hypertension.
