The clinical observation of 32 P interstitial radiation treatment on recurrent cystic glioma

Abstract：Objective To explore the curative effect of 32 P radiotherapy on recurrent cystic glioma.Methods The clinical data of 28 cases with recurrent cystic glioma in the past five years were retrospectively analyzed.The pa-tients were divided into the control group(with the postoperative conventional treatment, n=12) and the treatment group(with 32P interstitial radiation treatment, n=16).The therapeutic effect as compared between the two groups. Results The two-year survival rate of the treatment group ( 75.0%) was higher than that of the control group (25.0%)(P<0.05);The two-year recurrence rate of the treatment group(37.5%) was lower than that of the con-trol group(83.3%)(P<0.05).Conclusion Comprehensive measures should be taken to treat recurrent cystic glio-ma on the basis of radiotherapy combined with 32 P regular chemotherapy.32 P radiotherapy has a good clinical effect on the treatment of recurrent cystic gliomas.
