Abstract:Objective To evaluate the diagnostic value of multipie slice spiral CTA of hepatic vessels in the patients with liver cirrhosis. Methods Tri-phase enhanced CT scans of whole hepatic region were performed respec-tively in 138 patients with liver cirrhosis( the liver cirrhosis group) and in 50 patients without liver cirrhosis( the con-trol group) .The images of hepatic arteries, splenic arteriea and its branches were post-processed with MIP, MPR and VR, and their images were compared between the two groups. Results There were significant differences be-tween the two groups in showing hepatic artery, portal vein and its branches(P<0.01).There were no statistical differences in showing portal vein and Child grade system( P>0.05) .CTPV images displayed the portal venous sys-tem and its collateral circulation stereoscopically. The vascular assessments were performed in 27 patients with hyper-splenism and in 23 patients with liver cancer using CTA before interventional therapy. Conclusion The changes of hepatic arteries and splenic arteriea may indicate the severity of hepatic cirrhosis, and provide the reliable evidences for imaging diagnosis of the disease.
