Abstract:Objective To analyse the clinical efficacy and safety of flunarizine hydrochloride in the treatment of cerebral arteriosclerosis .Methods 100 patients with cerebral arteriosclerosis were randomly divided into the ob-servation group and the control group , with 50 cases in each group .The two groups were given the control of blood glucose, blood pressure, adjusting blood lipid, and anti-platelet by Xuesaitong treatment.Besides the above treat-ments, the observation group was given flunarizine hydrochloride 10 mg, one time per 24 hours. After two weeks of the treatment , the clinical efficacy and safety were compared between the two groups .Results The efficacy of the ob-servation group was markedly effective in 27 cases, effective in 16 cases and invalid in 7 cases;the efficacy counter-parts of the control group were 13, 19, 18 respectively. The total efficacy of the observation group was better than that of the control group ( P<0.01 ) .Whole blood viscosity , plasma viscosity and whole blood low shear viscosity in the two groups were lower than those before treatment ( P<0.01 ) , the above indicators of the observation group decreased more significantly than those of the control group ( P <0.01 ) .No serious adverse reactions occurred in the two groups. Conclusion Flunarizine hydrochloride is safe and effective in the treatment of cerebral arteriosclerosis .
