Efficacy of neuromuscular electrical stimulation in the treatment of postpartum pelvic floor dysfunction：A ;report of 195 cases

Abstract：Objective To observe the effect of neuromuscular electrical stimulation(NMES) on postpartum pelvic floor dysfunction.Methods 195 patients with postpartum pelvic floor dysfunction were treated with NMES from February 2012 to February 2013 in our hospital.Results 92 patients were cured;74 patients were effective;29 patients were ineffective.The contractive time and fatigue of muscle fiberⅠorⅡof pelvic floor were significantly in-creased after the treatment( P<0.01) .Conclusion The clinical effect of NMES in the treatment of postpartum pel-vic floor dysfunction is a safe, painless, non-invasive therapy, playing an important role in improving the quality of life of patients.
