Correlation study of osteoarthritis with IL-18 and TNF-α
Abstract：Objective To explore the clinical significances of IL-18 and TNF-αin the development of osteo-arthritis.Methods Seventy-one patients with knee osteoarthritis were selected as OA group and 30 healthy adults as control group .Radioimmunoassay was used to check the contents of IL-18 and TNF-αin articular synovial fluid , and the results were analyzed statistically .Results The contents of IL-18 and TNF-αin articular synovial fluid in OA group were higher than those in control group ( P<0.01 ) .Conclusion IL-18 and TNF-αare involved in the patho-logical process of destruction of articular cartilage and synovial inflammation .
