Research progress on expression and regulation function of angiopoietins in diabetic microangiopathy

Abstract：Angiopoietins(Ang) are a group of secreted growth factors.Ang specifically effect on blood vessel endothelial cells, may participate in the formation and regulation of new blood vessels.Under the stimulating of ab-normal factors such as anoxia, high sugar and inflammation factors Ang participate in occurrence and development of diabetic microangiopathy .Ang ,their receptor(Tie-2) and vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF) jointly partici-pate in physiological and pathological angiogenesis.This article reviews the research progress on expression and regu-lation function of Ang in diabetic microangiopathy.
