The value of detecting the level of IL-10 in bronchoalveolar lavage fluid for tuberculosis diagnosis
Abstract:Objective To detect the the level of IL-10 in bronchoalveolar lavage fluid and explore the diag-nostic value of IL-10 in tuberculosis. Methods The double-antibody sandwich ELISA methods were used to detect the expression of IL-10in serum of 50 patients with pulmonary tuberculosis and 48healthy people. The expression of IL-10 in bronchoalveolar lavage fluid of 50 patients with pulmonary tuberculosis was detected before anti -tuberculosis therapy and after4 weeks′therapy and compared their statistical differences .Rseults The level of IL-10 in peripher-al blood of patients with pulmonary tuberculosis was significantly higher than that of the healthy people .The level of IL-10 in both peripheral blood and in bronchoalveolar lavage fluid of patients with pulmonary tuberculosis decreased after anti-tuberculosis therapy than those before therapy. Conclusion IL-10 plays an important role on immunosup-pression in the the process of development of tuberculosis and it may assist in diagnosing tuberculosis in the clinical work.
