Abstract:Objective To investigate the effect of emergency and selective percutaneous coronary interven -tion in the treatment of acute left ventricular myocardial infarction .Methods Eighty-six patients with acute left ven-tricular myocardial infarction were selected in our hospital and divided into the emergency group ( n =29 ) , delay group 1(n=27) and delay group 2(n=30).The LVEF and LVEDD were measured at the time of hospitalization and 6 months after treatment. Results In the emergency group and delay group 1,LVEF and LVEDD improved signifi-cantly, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05), but there were no significant difference in LVEF and LVEDD in delay groups 2.Conclusion Emergency PCI and 2 weeks-delayed PCI in the treatment of acute left ven-tricular myocardial infarction can improve cardiac function .
